In the block course Typography IV we were divided into teams of three people each and were assigned topics/terms for which we should design a digital product, among other things; completing each project in a 24-hour timeframe.
Our group had the coordinate 25°N 71°W - the Bermuda Triangle. We designed an interactive map (utilising the ePub format for a fast way to realise it) where the user can click through different levels of information, such as the location and the last known locations of ships, and the overlapping of these levels creates a new level of information.
Although Linnorm is my second attempt at designing a typeface, it's the first time I really try to get it right. I started with the typeface in a workshop on the basics of type design.
Linnorm is based on the distorted curves found in moiré-like patterns, although this reference is hardly—if at all—visible at this point.
The typeface is still far from being finished.

By superimposing these layers, new information levels and contexts are created.

The idea behind this 7-inch vinyl is to explain how to operate a turntable in a easy to understand and fun way. The operating instructions are printed on the cover and can be heard as audio as well.

Publication with texts by students of the Faculty of Design on the question "What is typography?
We asked ourselves this question in the first typography lesson at the beginning of our studies. The texts were written after the first two semesters of typography and form partly answers, partly follow-up questions and content-related discussions of the topic.

This map was designed as a guide for applicants and first-year students so that you can explore the Mathildenhöhe on the day of the entrance examination and find possible places to pass time or grab something to eat.
On the day of the entrance examination, the card was hung up as an A1 poster. In addition, we have also designed it as an A3 card to take away.
